Head coach Mario Cristobal, offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and defensive coordinator Lance Guidry speak to the media before the Hurricanes take on Florida State this Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.

It's funny, this time last yr, fans were ready to move on from Dawson, and ready to sign a 10yr contract with Guidry. This yr, it the opposite. Both ways, it comes down to the players making plays and doing their job, within the play plan called. And of course the other team has some say in that as well. We scoring a lot of points, and instead of running the ball and controlling TOP, they have to come out throwing a lot more against us this yr compared to last. Hence more pressure on our back end, than last yr.
I liked what Dawson had to say about experience, and big that is during a game. They come out in a look a young guy hasn't seen or practiced. They got to just ball. 2 yrs from now. It will be our back end of the D, be our Dawgs !
Let's get us a couple of these big recruits in this class, and keep adding top talent in there, will be big for us down the road.

Our D is good enough to win out our ACC schedule. But man we’re in trouble against teams who have offenses that can put up big numbers against our D while their D can hold us to less than 30 points. Not sure if it’s Guidry or lack of talent in the secondary or a little bit of both.
