The fourteenth presentation of the conference "Fight Books in Comparative Perspective", held by Prof. Dr. T. J. Desch-Obi on the topic "The Art of Caucaseco. Respectability and social resistance in a Colombian cartilla".
The conference was held at Deutsches Klingenmuseum Solingen, the German Blade Museum, 09./10. NOV 2017. It tried to develop a multi-layered perspective on the worldwide phenomenon of the "fight book", i.e., texts (and images) created for the transmission of martial knowledge.
