Digging up the tram system was a huge fascinating to see the same shop fronts still in existence today.... and see people over 100 years ago leaning and standing in exact same spots we do today

People on the trams looked well dressed. I imagine they must have been quite expensive to use and out of the reach of poorer people.

Not a head without a hat in sight, strange how their general ubiquity faded to hats being more practical things. That's not to say that people dont wear hats for non functional reasons today, just seems infinitely more common in the past.
