As a Bruins fan, I'm pretty sure I broke my remote after this game!! Unbelievable performance by one of the best goalies of all time.

It's actually pretty difficult to use the butterfly style with those old school stand up pads. Patrick Roy and Tony Esposito are true pioneers

We got so many great goalies in MTL i didnt realised how good Patrick Roy was. Since we got ''the best goalie in the world'' Carey Price i see how good he was, Price isnt 1/3 of what Roy was. He was so constant, not a 3 years span like Thoedore or even Price, he did it year after year after year, plus the guy had so much dog in him. A real hockey player and a great goalie.

Quelle joie de revoir ça! Et de réentendre Claude Quenneville!

Fun fact, the back up goalie for Montreal is Ron Tugnutt, who made 70 saves in a 3-3 tie against the Bruins 3 years earlier while playing for the Quebec Nordiques

3 days before, Roy was out with appendicitis. This just adds to how brilliant this was.

I was 4 years old playing NHL -93 on Super Nintendo. I have always admired the goalies the most and Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur were my first favourites. Amazing players that will always be of the 5 greatest ever in my world. Some of the best memories of my childhood watching these amazing plays.

Been a hockey fan over 30 years and to this day, this (subjectively of course) remains the greatest single-game goaltending performance I ever watched.

That said, it made Game 6/7 hard to stomach. Roy ran out of juice and Montreal's butts were metaphorically out in the breeze...

man was looking for this game forever on youtube so thank you . big Patrick Roy fan here, was around 8 years old when he started with the Habs, became my favorite player instantly, everryone talks about game 3 versus the Rangers in 86 when they think of Roy, to me this game in 94 is his best performance ever, too bad they lost that series .

where the hell did you find this ? the quality is amazing

"Will somebody PLEASE tell Peter Popovic that's a stick he's holding, not a flower?" 😂 Greatest line ever.

see how fast patrick gets up after a save, and the fact he doesn't go back and forth on his knees when someone is behind the net with the puck, but follows the whole play upright? Todays goalies could learn something from him. also, he's always following the play, he never stands up when the play is in his end, but keeps the crouch position? also a good habit.
