By far the best exposition on a model. Other reviewers should be noting this content selection, structure, and pacing.

Thumbs up for mentioning that the six gears are all for acceleration. What a machine!

I totally love my '93 968 cabbie. I have had two. First one had to sell due to divorce. But the 2nd one is all mine, pride and joy, and I bring my black lab along for the ride, he loves it too. It is a super smooth easy going sweet old lady, that when you push the pedal down becomes a prize kick-boxster!

It's amazing how well this model has aged. Completely timeless and (imho) much better looking than 944 (which is a good looking car too). 968 has some 993 and 959 look on the front.

Thanks for doing this. It's a forgotten car that has never really gotten its due.

I've had mine for almost 3 years now and it's exceedingly fun, because of its engine and the 50-50 weight distribution on nice curvy roads.

On my bucket list to own one or a 944 Turbo S they are in my opinion the most beautiful timeless designs.. something that hasn’t been duplicated since

When I was a teenager, I had a giant poster of the 959 in silver just facing my bed so I can look at it when I wake up and go to bed. Then I saw that comparison poster of the 959 vs 968. That brought me back to earth for which is more realistically can be bought. I fell in love with the 968 instantly because it looks like the baby brother of the 959. I loved how Porche used the same side mirrors from the 959. Something magical about the design of that mirror that captured my imagination. Now I'm in search of the dream baby 968. So, one day I can pass it on to my daughter to enjoy it. Thanks for the passion and the details in the video, oh, and nice touch with that angry cat face! 😂😂😂😂

I've owned 1 944 and 2 968s. Loved them all.

Well said, my friend! I absolutely adore my '94 968 cabriolet and it gets the looks and the stares EVERY time it makes an appearance... And, yes, she is garage kept and babied until that beautiful sunny day when the top gets dropped... 😛

had one as 968 CS from 1997 - 2000, what great fun i had with this car, i think, it came at the wrong time, a time, when Porsche company was already in bad condition, the CS (Clubsport) price decrease didn' help increasing sales, Wiedeking came 1992 and decided to discontinue 928 and 968 i.o. to decrease the number of varieties and different parts which made production too expensive. The Boxter (986) had 70% parts of the 911 and made production therefore much cheaper....

Love the look of the 968. Love the three litre inline four cylinder with twin balance shafts 240/220 power feels quick / just right in a 3, 000 pound car.

Extremely well presented, as always, tons of quality information. Ferry loved Tony Lapine and the 968 was the culmination of a true drivers car.

As a proud owner of a 1994 968, you hit on every single point perfectly. There is a very unique joy to having a car from such an interesting time in Porche's history, and I enjoy the curiousity it inspires. It's familiar in that it's a Porsche, but it's alien given that it's a model many don't recognize.

Great video 🤘🏽🤘🏽

Excellent report. Having owned a 951 for over 30 years I can apprecaite your report. The body changes for the 968 were fantastic. It was a shame we did not get the 968 turbo in the US...if they had I would have bought one right away. Again thank you.

I have a 968 with 180k miles on it. Superb. Will do another 180k.. Perfect for long and fast journeys. Luckily I live in Germany...
One thing.. IIRC 5th and 6th ARE overdrive, but the engine has so much torque, it will use all the gears properly.
