International MBA Programs can be very costly. International MBA/MIM will cost you a loan of 1.5 Crore for MBA, for MIM you will need 50-70 L, and for the Master's program, you will need up to 35-50 L. Before making such a huge investment you should know the ROI. You should know how much salary you can expect after doing the course. Since you will be spending a lot of money, it makes all the sense to have conviction in that course.

2024 International MBA Roadmap is a series where I will tell you everything about Abroad MBA in 2024. Students often refer to the placements report to calculate the ROI of getting an MBA from a particular institute. These placement reports might not be applicable in your case. In order to find out the right ROI go to LinkedIn and search for the course from an institute you are thinking of going for. Then see the profiles of people who have done the same course in the last few years. See where they are working and which industries are employing them.

In the end, it is not only about the salary that is considered to find out the ROI. YOu also need to consider the industry where you will be working and the kind of exposure you will get. Salary numbers for an international MBA student are very different from the salary numbers of a local MBA student. Don’t ignore that. Reach out to these people on LinkedIn to find out how active the network is. It is necessary to know how active the network is to understand how powerful the network is. You will need to have this conversation sometime later so why not start with it now? The story for the best top 10 colleges is different but after that, you need to do the research for all other colleges.

You are not the only one who is trying to derisk yourself, the college too is trying to avoid the risk of admitting students who can’t get placed. If you mention a specific job in your application essay that is not offered by any company coming on the campus then the college will try to avoid having you in. This is why your application might get rejected. This research will also help you understand what companies are looking for and thus even before you go for your MBA you can start adding those valuable skills to your resume.

Companies will also try to hire candidates who have some solid background in things that a particular company is working on. This is how doing some research before going for your MBA will help you greatly in getting ready for the Job even before your international MBA or MIM.
