It sucks going to prom when you’ve hardly got any friends, especially if they’re either not old enough for prom or aren’t the type to go anyways. I invited my best friend who’s much more social and has a lot of friends in different grades, but I felt alone most of the night while they went off to chat with their familiar friends and dance with them, even though I paid for her ticket and invited her. Almost cried a few times while I sat at a table with no one to talk to, only knowing two other people there that were busy with their own friends.
