I’ve had my money tree for almost 15 years. It’s over 7 foot tall and in a massive pot! I’m currently growing 3 more money trees from it ❤ Best graduation gift I ever got!

I have a money tree I bought at IKEA last year and it has grown so big, even my daughter asked me what was I doing and my answer was I water it once a week and at times longer and she’s thriving so beautifully, she loves the entrance room where she gets lots of natural light ☺️🤷‍♀️

Money trees don't produce a ton of roots, so the watering requirements are sometime touchy. They also store a ton of water in the trunk more like a succulent. If they have lots of leaves, water more frequently, less often for the opposite.

I use a loose aroid mix to encourage more root growth. They also get leaf burn super easy so wipe off the leaves if you splash water on them and they are close to a window.

So glad I found your channel. I was using ice cubes as indicated on the tab and my plant is looking droopy, and leaves not looking happy. I think my low light wasn't helping either. I am going to try some of the tips you have. Thank you

My money tree started recently having trouble...it was drooping. I bought it a light, changed out some of the soil with some cactus blend, regular dirt and perlite, gently cleaned the leaves and gave it a small watering. I hope it bounces back. I'm gonna fertilize it this weekend just in case that is lacking.
I was misting until it started drooping...I was afraid my misting was harming it. Good to know it wasn't.
Also while removing about 50% of its old soil...found a big plastic band around the bottom. I wonder if it had not been noticed if it would have choked the plant when it grew?
I don't really care for the braiding so didn't need to keep it on there.

Mine is about 5yo. Plastic pot, peat moss only. In a corner with low light. Its huge! I've learned that when i water it, the water has to go all the way through pot. If it doesn't, the leaves will start to turn brown at tips.

Mine is directly under the hot Caribbean sun, no mercy at all. It's beautiful but I do water it daily. Growing really fast!

Can you prune a money tree ? I have 2 in small pots but I don’t want them to get too big for the area I have them in. They don’t need to be trimmed yet. But can I keep them in the smaller pots so they don’t get too big?

My money tree is enormous. It is on my kitchen windowsill and gets a few hours morning sun. Seems to be very happy there. Lots of healthy leaves and just keeps growing.

Thank you for the money tree information. A month ago, I received a money tree bonsai plant as a gift. The bonsai gets morning sun for few hours. It seems to be growing well. I water it a few days. The plant and roots sits on top crushed lava rocks in a small ceramic pot. It would be nice to see “how to care for bonsai plant”.

Thank you for this info. I Luv how clear you speak, your justifications on how and why. And a beautiful smile too😊. I’ve never really had a “green thumb”, but since my son and his wife bought this for me, I’m determined to keep it alive. Thanks to your content, I Believe I CAN🙏🤞😜. THANK YOU! 🌻💕☀️😊

This video was really helpful! I like the braided look but they also cut mine short like the one in this video. Is there a way for it to still look good if I continue to braid it or should I go for the bush look?

I noticed you had white spots on your leaves. I have this as well. I was wondering what it was and if it’s bad! PS I have my planned outside on my deck with a ton of light and some direct sunlight in Florida and it seems to be doing well outside of the white spots!

Great information but I didn't see exactly how and where to do the pruning. Is there a specific place to snip the stems? Or just cut to your desired shape?

Your low light money tree was massively stretching for light as well. That’s why the internodes are so long. I keep mine in a window that receives morning sun and I keep the blinds half open. It loves it there. It loves it when I forget about it because they really don’t need much water. I’ve had it for a year and have only fed it liquid nutrients twice, at half the dose as well.

Do you think I can put this in an aquarium with fish? Or would that be too much water?
