I kind of disagree, a student can invest very small amounts just to learn and gain understanding of how to invest where to invest.
They may or may not invest in the future, but can take more informed decisions given this understanding

I'm a student and i start investing from the beginning of class 11th . Now i have 70 k stocks portfolio. I know that is not too much, but its my own capital which i earn . Mera ek chota sa business tha(3rd party books service) jisse maine mere first 15k earn kiye then un se maine policy bazzar ka ipo apply kia tha jis me mujhe 4 k profit hua tha, then maine kuch or rupaye earn kiye then maine mere ek uncle ke saath milkr ek risky distribution ki real-estate khridi jo apni real value se bhut ssti mil rhi thi . Due to my good luck koi problem nhi hui or wo resale ho gyi . Or abb meri net worth 2.5 lakh + h but abb mai 12 th me hu 🥲🥲 abhi preboard hue the to smjh aaya do saal padhai to kri hi nhi 🙂🙂🙂. its not about getting rich iits about building a habit at an early stage which you will sustain for your entire life and putting 10-20% of your earning will not have an affect on your experiences if you are not able to take out 500 rupee when you are getting lets say 5000 rupee pocket money then how can you be so sure that you are going to invest 50000 when you are earing 5lacs .

I agree that one needs to know oneself before using the money to invest. But as a student, it's not about getting rich, it's about the practices that can come in handy in our future. Many things that we do at a very young age tends to stay with us and it becomes harder to change as we grow old. This is just my perspective about investing at a very young age.
