Digital Cinema Media (DCM) - Ident 2011 Full HD

Jump, the BAFTA-winning design company known for its branding work for the X-Factor and Who Wants to be a Millionaire, has created a new ident for cinema sales house, Digital Cinema Media. Now in full HD!

I feel nostalgia when I think of this intro; it evokes so many unforgettable memories. Incredible sound design, especially when you hear these sounds through a large sound system inside the cinema !

Hearing this kick off an Imax movie is amazing, it vibrates everything, and usually most of the guests scream with a fright! ROFL :) Brilliant.

ahh, the memories of being 11, watching a pixar/dreamworks movie with my mum, and almost s**ting myself because that BOOM was the first thing to be played.

This and the THX deep note are the two things that while terrifying, are in my opinion the epitome of the cinema experience.

Such a gorgeous ident, and a real shame if the audio really has been toned down. I mean, yes not extremely loud, but the whole excitement factor was the base giving you goosebumps haha

I have the ending ident in HD with the lower pitched music, it's not upscaled, and it's the proper version! Yes this ident does make me jump in the cinema, its the sudden BOOOM into the screen.

Reminds me of Carlton Screen Advertising, but at least I don't get a branding iron smashed into my face every time I go to the cinema.

I havent noticed a change to the on-screen ident, i always thought the other video sounded odd because this is how the music has always sounded even back when it first started.
