iPhone 3GS: Is it usable after 5 years?

PLEASE READ (October 2014): Sorry if I sound bad, scary or like a TV presenter in my narration, the mic I used (a Logitech E-UR20) sounded quite bad, and I was trying to speak without annoying anyone in my family. But, things had gotten better, since I got a much better Samson GoMic (see my iOS 8 Demo video on my channel) and I will try my best to speak as clear as possible and not as a TV presenter. I still have my iPhone 3GS that I dropped on water twice and it's still working! Definitely miss this phone. It's my first and still very favorite iPhone of all.

I used to have an iPhone 3GS when it first came out.. I was excited as hell when I got it no words can describe how amazing this phone was to me.. I now have a Galaxy Note 3 and I kinda wish I still had the old iPhone just so I can play all the old games and be reminded of that good ol' iPhone that I used to love so much.. too bad I don't have it anymore

It's 2016 and my IPhone 3GS still works well, it has its ups and downs but it is great. It records my YouTube videos really well

I am still using my 3GS and still love it. The only problem I've had is I had a new battery fitted at a repair shop and it now has less battery life than it did before. I think they have fitted a really poor quality battery, so I have bought a genuine one and an opening kit and will fit it myself. Hope to get more years out of my 3GS!

I had replaced my iPhone 6s with my iPhone 3GS for one week. I was impressed how fast and smooth everything was!

I use an iPhone 3Gs everyday as my primary phone. It does everything the iPhone 4 does, and a lot the iPhone 5 does. Almost no limitations. At least with what I do. It is even faster than the iPhone 4. It runs all modern apps and games. Internet surfing is the same as a newer phone. I still prefer it over any android.. (Excluding the Nexus)

I have an iPod touch 4G, which is very slow and gets very annoying, but still usable. Not the same as 3GS, but I bet it is still usable, as long as you are very patient.

My 15 year old still has his 3gs and it's still kickin. Going to upgrade him now finally to the new Moto X 2014 since whole family slowly but surely switching to Android. I think 3gs held up even better than the newer iPhones.

If come to Indonesia, you will see many people are still using the old iPhone mostly the iPhone 4/4s/5 because its still usable.

I actually really didn't care about the sound quality. It was actually... weirdly smoothing :P.
But yeah! Great camera angles and everything! The only complaint was the end of the video... really REALLY a nit pick, but I hate the beep sound. At least make it shorter and softer! But I will be checking out your latest videos, this was great!
