"Feed Your Love" is a mid-tempo R&B ballad co-written by the Spice Girls along with Richard "Biff" Stannard and Matt Rowe. It was written in the same sessions of Wannabe and 2 Become 1. Featuring dominant vocals from Mel B, the song did not make the final cut of their debut album Spice, reportedly due to its "racy" content for their primarily teenage audience.

In May 1995, the group met with Paul Wilson and Andy Watkins, the production duo known as Absolute, who praised "Feed Your Love" as "dark and cool." This led to further songwriting sessions with Absolute, held at the Strongroom studio in East London.
