I’m a medical student and I really want to do OB. A doctor told me today that I should reconsider because I could never find time to have a family (as if that was any of his business). Thank you for showing how women can do it all, even if it’s hard, and even if it’s OB GYN- because that’s the best specialty and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

We have the right to choose. We have the right to not care what anyone else thinks when it comes to the way we chose to live our lives. Unless.... You'd like us to judge your choices in life 🧐🫣😱
For the record, Dr. I'm very happy you're doing what you're doing on here because I've learned so much and it's made me a better mom so I can pass this valuable info on to my daughter, so thank you❣️ 😉💜✌🏻

My mom was a doctor… I wish I’d seen her more when I was a kid. Would’ve traded all the material stuff to actually have had her around. There’s always a trade-off, no one can do it all. If you’re going to have kids they need to be the priority over career.

Well, not that he’s right and you’re wrong, or the other way around. HOWEVER, I really wish my eyes would’ve been open to his perspective vs. what the world was telling me (which was to be educated, independent, and follow my dreams). It all sounded great, so I did it, and became a successful business owner at 28 yrs old…… and I spent the next 11 years trying to find fulfillment in it. I couldn’t. So I sold of my assets and now I’m a stay at home mom and finally living out my dreams and living in my calling. I don’t think it’s wrong, it certainly doesn’t feel wrong to me. I feel so full of joy and content. I just really don’t think there is anything wrong with what he said. But yeah, as women we are taught from the beginning to not let a man tell us anything. So I get it.

You are a full fledged true role model and the kicker boy is an absolute ass. You’re a lot nicer than I am.
Some of the words I used when listening to his little college speech would make Beelzebub blush.

It's okay, some people are not quite developed enough to fully grasp a complicated, adult world. I would say "keep going" but you already know 😊

1.) She made a joke about the speech. You guys are butthurt as hell, she didn’t “misinterpret” anything he said.

2.) Sure, Butker is entitled to his own opinions but you are a fool if you don’t think some of those he shared in his speech were directly insulting and downright antiquated to plenty of individuals, including women, those in the audience (catholic college or not), and even his own wife. And then you’re mad or offended yourselves when people joke or make commentary on the speech he opted to give? I don’t know why you keyboard warriors are fighting so hard in the comments, isn’t it free speech and shit? He should have probably “stayed in his lane” (his words) and kept to kicking, don’t you think?

I think women in general who juggle motherhood, spouse and friendships have fatigue and sense of feeling overwhelmed. Then a career on top of it all!

That is absolutely not what he said. As a woman in the medical field, I am embarrassed by your overreaching video to gain you some clout.

I was a latchkey kid because my parents were always working. Now Im a stay at home mom. He speaks for many women.

That’s not what he said! As a Catholic Latina, I could relate to what he actually said. I also have a degree, but my degree means nothing compared to the love I have for my daughters! I knew God put me on this earth to be their mama, everything else comes second. Again, he spoke at a Catholic University and he’s Catholic! You don’t have to agree with what he said but don’t get it wrong!

That's not what he said, but don't let that stand in the way of your little pity party

You obviously did NOT PROCESS what was said by Harrison. I was a nurse. And the first nurses were nuns. It was a mission. I have missed out and my children missed out not having their mother. Great! Youre a doctor. It will never ever measure up to being a mother and raising and shaping Godly children. Truth! Just the truth.

You actually missed what he said completely. Kinda concerning that a doctor can’t extract a clear message from a simple statement.

He never said you shouldn't be a Dr. If you think it's more satisfying than when you come home from work to your family, that's where you missed the point. One day maybe you will.
