You can pay 60k for midsize truck. You get a lot with this truck. Winch, on board power, bed liner, huge payload good towing and best console in the business. 👍

I’ve never been a Ford fan, but I must say that’s a really cool spec. they’ve put together there. Some real off-road capability without useless bling.

I’m surprised how much I’ve missed this kind of truck. A new version of the 1970s-1990s rigs of old. Please post the build sheet for us to download. Great video, Andre.

Love the XL off-road! Happy to see it with the base gasser too.

Stop justifying their outrageous pricing! There is no justification for the price of these trucks. $60k for a stripped down truck? No reason they should cost that much especially the amount of trucks they produce. Its not about what you are getting, the mfg knows that people are stupid enough to buy them for that amount. They would be forced to reduce pricing if people would stop buying them. Say they are to costly so the mfg know that we are tired of paying so much for a pickup truck.

I want to see more 6.8l testing for sure. Can’t wait to see how it does on the Ike with a travel trailer and see how it compares to the 7.3l. Will need to replace my 6.2l in like 5 years so these will be used by that time and perfect to move into without paying the crazy new truck prices.

Yup, that fuel economy is pretty much what all gasser 3/4 ton trucks get. I live at sea level in southern New England. I had a '96 F250 (8600 GVWR) with 5.8 and 4-speed E4OD weighing around 5500lb, which got 15-16 on the highway and 13 in overall mixed driving. Now driving a '16 F250 (9990 GVWR) with 6.2 and 6-speed, weighing around 6500lb, getting those same MPG numbers, which your '24 is also getting. They find small efficiency improvements in engine and transmission design then cancel them out with more weight and features.

I would love to see a 6.8 vs 7.3 Ike gauntlet!

If I were looking at getting something for off road, camping, hunting, fishing, towing a camper/boat truck -this is it IMO. You didn’t mention if it had the extended range gas tank which would be essential.

I work for a garbage company and we recently got a brand new 2024 f-350 regular cab with the 6.8 V8. I am super impressed with all the amenities that the lowest base model super duty is equipped with now days. The 6.8 engine in a 2wd one ton regular cab is a rocket ship and I still average 14.9 mpg in town. I really want to order the same truck as a crew cab 4wd.

I still drive my 2010 f-250 xl 4x4 supercab with the old 5.4 and 5 speed. Regular maintenance and it finally lost the tranny at 250, 000. Put a new one in and I have to say, it’s still my favourite truck and gets the call in most “truck” situations, even over my 2018 f150 xlt crew 5.0. Nothing beats a good work truck.

Great video, cool location, good weather for the demonstration, it’s nice to see a a new truck that’s not 100k.

That is a perfect truck, I have a 2008 F150 XL & love the simplicity of it. No power windows, no power locks, 5 speed manual, over 200, 000 miles & never have had one issue with it.

Trucks with vynil floors should be the norm. Carpet is bad in just about any vehicle imho.

This is how I like my trucks, I don't need a luxury brodozer.

Andre, you've latched on to the perfect truck!! Ford--thank you for building an amazing truck in an obtainable price range (kind of). I have a '15 250 XL, very base model...I love it! The only thing missing on this truck are the upfitter switches. These are super handy for my headache rack with lights...plus the snowplow guys use them.

Great feature again, Andre.
