Hammarlund SP 600 Video #5 - Tube 12AU7 - no B+

I'm working through the deficiencies I found during testing with a focus on the missing B+ for the 12AU7 tube.

There was a MWO (Modification Work Order) to install a B+ fuse to protect the high voltage winding of the power transformer. Many of these transformers burned out before this mod by the signal corps was initiated. Later models of the SP-600 had this fuse installed by the factory.

So much work left to redo since he first messed with it. Yet it persists in working!

Just wondering had the radio been built using Space Charge tubes it would last longer would it not and also make for a lighter radio as the transformer would not have to be as heavy duty, You would think that Military grade capacitors would last a long time and not go leaky.

The 12AU7 has no plate resistor on pin #6 .
R80 is missing Some joker removed it !
