The HUGE FLAW With the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57'

Samsung recently announced the new Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57", also known as the Samsung Odyssey G95NC. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 specs are truly insane, and it will probably be the best gaming monitor you can currently buy! However, there is one major drawback. With the high Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" refresh rate and Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" resolution, graphics cards are struggling to support this insane ultrawide monitor! In fact, only AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards match the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 bandwidth requirements right now.

As wild as this display is, this is exactly the concert I had with this. A 4090 would definitely be powerful enough to drive this thing if it supported DP2.1. Hopefully the apparently planned 40 series refresh will have DP2.1.

coming from the future, they didn´t fix it, you still can only use 240hz with AMD

I'm wondering why LG or Samsung doesn't offer a 21:9 monitor with the height of a current 43" and 16:9 monitor simply in 21:9: i.e. 30% wider and with a nice curvature. Resolution would then be 5120x2160, i.e 30% over 4k and therefore just manageable by a current 4090 or AMD equivalent? The current monitor manufacturers are constantly racing ahead of the performance peaks of the current graphics cards, which clearly leads to lower sales of monitors. Better to have new monitors in line with the latest top graphics cards, then people are more likely to buy them, IMO.

The monitor has multiple HDMI inputs. I have an Asus RTX 4090 Strix which has 3 Displayports and 2 HDMI ports. Could I use the 2 HDMi ports to this monitor to reach that 240 hertz instead? I could then use Nvidia Surround to merge the 2 signals again.

I already have the last model g9 1440 240hz 49” and it’s def not easy to drive even on a 4090 on some games
