The Big Bondi Beach Flash Mob [ORIGINAL]

Over 100 dancers surprised Bondi Beach with a Flash Mob on Sat Nov 14th 2009, organised by DJ Dan Murphy and starring one of Australia's most famous & delicious drag queens - JOYCE MAYNGE.

Thanks to all the volunteer dancers, camera-people, life-savers & support crew!

I was in this! i'm the little girl in pink and camo, i had just turned 6 at the time. I remember having a blast rehearsing and performing this! I rembember showing this to absolutely everyone, because I thought it was so cool that i was in a video like this. And now over FIVE MILLION people have seen it! This will always be a core memory for me :)

Wonderful diva kicking off on the Bondi Beach sands smashing it out with Love Shack, into a Beyonce and grooving with YMCA then Jump. Terrific fun mix for entertaining the bronzed Aussie masses. Sensational!

Bondi, for a New Yorker, who at 18, traveled to Australia to stay with cousins in St. Ives, N. Suburbs of Sydney ('Snives', some called it, appropriately), there you are in the middle of a large city, modern, etc...walk about and BOOM, there in front of you, Bondi, spread out so beautifully (taking away the Box Jellies and sharks that venture in occasionally) in the middle of an urban area. Amazing to see and go to. People incredibly friendly and open minded. Loved every moment of that year.
