Pure pop, no deep meanings, no hidden messages, no deep introspection, just fun music made for dancing and an instant party. Dance hall days were the best days. ✌️

Love that you are branching out to this category of music. Get into Expose!!! Incredible female pop group! Come go With Me, Point of No Return...they had some HITS.

I used to sing "2 pop tarts" 😂

she performed this on the 80s TV show 'The Facts of Life'. Tootie was auditioning for a Broadway show and was singing this song, until she heard another girl warming it up- Stacey Q. herself- playing a character called 'Cinnamin'. She made another appearance on the show a year later- taking George Clooney's character on the road with her- the premise for his leaving the show in season 8.

How did someone get rock out of an 80s dance song? This song got everyone on the dance floor back in the 80s ;)

She was so cute.

If you haven't reacted to them already, you two may also like a group called 'Nu Shooz'. They essentially had two hits. "Point Of No Return" and their biggest one, "I Can't Wait", in 1986...

You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)- Dead or Alive. J/A, another huge dance pop song from the mid 80s that was a huge hit! Also I bet both of you will be doing the 80s dance 😂 in your seats before the song is over. Extremely catchy tune and love to see you react to it in the future! Thanks for this great reaction to Stacey Q.

Stacy Q is not rock, she's pop and west coast freestyle....and we loved her here on the east coast.

What a fun 80's pop song. Stacey Q came into MTV and made us all smile. She got us dancing on the floors in the clubs. A one-hit wonder but what a hit!
You did Kylie Minogue one time before but check out the song. - "Can't Get you Outta My Head"
Also check out Jennifer Paige - "Crush"

Walking On Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves. J/A this was a great pop/rock song from the mid 80s and I know both of you will enjoy the upbeat pop/rock song and also positive message! Love to see you react to it in the future!

All right my babies... This is one of those dance club songs that kept people on the dance floor where they should be ‼️ 🕺🏻💃🏻😁👍🏻

When this came out that vocal stutter effect was so new and cool sounding and she sounded so cute!
Expose (Come go with me, Let me be the one) and Nu Shooz (I can’t wait, Point of no return) are in similar category and worth a listen.

Jay, Suzie Q was a song, maybe you were thinking of Suzi Quatro. I remember this was big on the dance floor back in the day. Her real name is Stacey Swain and she chose Stacey Q because she was a fan of the James Bond 007 movies (Q was a character in the movies). Her follow up song for this was 'We Connect"

I used to hear this song any time I went to a roller skating rink

Stacey Q appeared on TV shows as a character on "The Facts of Life” performing “Two of Hearts” and “We Connect”, and as herself on “Full House” with “Don't Make A Fool of Yourself”.

“Two of Hearts” was also in the film “Hot Rod” with Andy Samberg, Bill Hader and Danny McBride.

This song was a massive hit at the time & definitely one of those club songs that immediately cranked the energy on the dancefloor up few notches. Glad you both had fun with it!

Thanks for showcasing Stacey Q and this video. Like you said, it was a catchy 80's tune, and video was in the earlier days of music videos, standard definition video, etc. Catchy tune, cute girl in different dance portions, clothing, etc., it was a great song and video for it's day. To me, it serves as one of several musical reminders of the 80's, having distinctive significance to me, per that time of life and during one of the best work and personal periods in my life. We were fortunate, lots of great music was created in the 80's and the songs & videos will live forever.

One of the more obscure concerts I've seen. Saw Stacy Q and Jermaine Stewart open for the Jets in the 80s. Wasn't my type of music but it was fun
