So this was the short version of The Rocker. The full version has about 3-minutes (ish) of some of the best lead electric guitar in rock. You gotta listen to the full version.

Absolute banger, love this band, saw them in 1979👌🏻

Quite funny seeing this video because it features Gary Moore on the video but the music track is the original album cut with Eric Bell on guitar. No doubt Gary could have given a rippin' version of it too, and did live, once Eric quit. Never seen this before though. Aaaaan now I see, it is the cut off radio edit. Wrong track guys. The album version is several minutes longer featuring an unbelievable solo from Mr. Bell. You should try the extended play original version.

Thin Lizzy is definitely one of those bands that are underrated. They rock as much as any rock band if not more 🎉❤

The most criminally underrated rock band of the 70's IMHO. They could do anything. Rock jazz funk, you name it, they did it. Great band.

A couple recommendations: "Róisín Dubh (Black Rose)" is about Phil's Irish heritage & Irish folklore, plus it has Gary Moore on guitar. "Got To Give It Up" is heartbreaking, but a very good song about drug & alcohol addiction, no doubt written during a moment of clarity. 🍀🥀

The album cut "Johnny" from my favorite TL album Johnny The Fox is a good song and a solid rocker, definitely worth a listen.

I was fortunate enough to see Lizzy three times. The most memorable was Inverness Ice Centre in 1981.

I absolutely LOVE this song! I get serious Hendrix vibes from Phil's cadence in this song, and I love it! Thank you for checking it out!

"Rock On Records" was the big record store for 50s rock n roll music in London; Phil mentions Teddy Boys, who were the 50s greasers of England.

Such a favourite of mine since 1973
Shame this is the radio play version and is missing the wonderful guitar solo on the album track.

Just for some reference info: Back in the 60's in UK you had the Mods and the Rockers. The rockers were the ones that wore leather and rode motorbikes - hence the reference to "I got my cycle outside" in the song. Great song from one of my all time favourite bands, Have all the albums and still play them regularly.
