The BBC reported that Ian Lavery got a lot of his house payed off by the NUM union that he lead. The BBC also reported that the NUM union also paid him redundancy payments even though he had a job of being an MP to go to.
In total the BBC reported that Ian Lavery got £165.387 out of his union the NUM that he was the general secretary of.
I hope all NUM members got treated so generously by there union as Mr Lavery did.
