As for what goes on in Area 51, probably not much tbh. It’s an aircraft and weapons testing facility what do you expect? I wound image next gen aircraft are tested there.

It took me a moment to recognize the simulator/craft you found. What clued me in was the red "marking" on it. That is from the movie and TV series called "V"- an alien invasion/occupation story from the early to mid 80's. Think it was called a "Sky Fighter" or something like that.

Reasons -
Tailless design
Canopy with thst orange glint (yes i know that the f 22 does too)
The main landing gear has more than 1 wheel on each side, similar the the su 34 fullback/hellduck ehich is a fighter bomber

"What happens at Area 51" I prefer the name "Groom Lake" or "Dreamland", but I think, nay, I know the US Airforce (or CIA) is using this base to test aircraft. I know this because Dreamland is where both the U-2 Dragonlady and the SR-71 Blackbird were tested. The base is built here because of the flat salt lake and its remote position (the flat salt lake means they didn't have to terraform very much). I do not think Groom Lake is where the CIA takes aliens or stuff like that (I think they would take them to a bunker far underground without a visible base over [I do not think we have encountered them]). I think the high security is always in place, even when they're not testing things there, to make sure we never know what happens there, I think this is secretive for no other reason than to make sure to keep other nations on their toes.

That white shuttle thing is the transport shuttle used in the 1980's tv miniseries "V" it even still has the symbol of the visitors on the front; good show for its time
