The most commonly used concept is that they are Mestizos. Originally, the concept of Mestizo refers to children of Europeans and South American Natives, so many people think that they are approximately 50%, but in reality there are regional and individual variations that are very evident. An average Dominican is different from an average Guatemalan, or an average Argentine, but they all share ancestry in different proportions.

When they refer to themselves as “Latin” 🙄 they haven’t a clue that Latin means tge modern area of Rome in the region of Lazio - Latinium - ergo Latin.

They’re Castilian speaking mesoamericans.

I just know that my dad ancestors were from some part of spain and italy so it will be possible. Same with my mom some part of spain and germany.

All British colonies weren't the same. mixed people in Jamaica were accepted by their fathers. It was only America where one drop rule existed, and it was because of quadroons and octaroons who could pass as white. Not Mulattos as Mulattos couldn't pass for white majority of the time.
