Temperatures soar across Northeast

As a heat dome brings dangerous temperatures to the Northeast, 911 switchboards across Massachusetts were temporarily disrupted by a statewide outage Tuesday, while New York Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a heat emergency, activating the National Guard in at least two cities to assist. Nikki Battiste reports.

It happens every year around this time or between the months of June and September.

Spent 4 days in Ft. Collins, CO. One day hit 80ish, the others were 70s and 60s. Low as 39 in SLC. Remarkably cool out here. Coolest June I can remember. (pushing 70, btw.)

OMG! If this was December, I still wouldn't be concerned.
The New York governor has never heard of summer. Perhaps the kids in the Bronx haven't heard of summer either, especially since they don't know what a computer is.
