I am so happy someone is talking about this... I've also had like 1 best friend. And lost her through something stupid because we were teenagers. But now at 24 I still haven't had a friend that felt the same. It took me so many years to not feel sad. Now I think I just hope she is happy. And I do deserve a real friend. Now as an adult I just stick to a few people. But I don't let them get as close as I used to.

I’ve been going through a friendship breakup myself and it is debilitating. Asking why we aren’t friends has always helped me. I could see how unhappy I was in that friendship to the point that I was scared to address the problems because of how they would react. Lo and behold I told one friend how I was feeling and wanted to seek advice and she went and told the other friend I was bitching rather than asking advice. Long story short we don’t talk anymore and I’m 100 times happier.

Loved this Leah, I’m the same age as you and I take friendships so seriously. Forgiven a lot, I’ll always be forgiving which I love about me. Recently I’ve evaluated and been taken advantage of a lot but I now have boundaries and know what I should and shouldn’t accept from a friend. Thank you for this ❤️

Just recently cut off a couple of newer friends because of one of them spreading my business- and honestly it didn’t effect me. And I’m the type of girl my friends have been my friends since middle school & i realized the way i felt after, showed me the type of friends i need and love. Glad we’re no longer friends and i can say it’s not from hate it’s from growth
