Quick correction from my buddy on the discord! The Exalted eightbound will be 30 attacks with the eviscerators, not 36! sorry, i added an extra guy into that! Thank you Adam!

Thanks you for great video!
Few thoughts:

1. WE have more models to deploy then Custodes, so Angron could deploy last. As result its really hard to fully screen

2. Without tanks shooting, killing T12 could be very hard. So angron could just lock entire army in deployment zone.

3. I think for Custodes 2x5 Wichseekers should make good screening protection. Thanks for advice!

Thank you for the great video!

Thanks so much for this video, been struggling against my friends World Eaters Army for a while (I play Necrons), was thinking about trying out screens of sacrificial Scarabs and I guess that's the way to go, this has been a big help!

Thanks a lot, this is the first video I've seen in your channel and I learned a ton. I liked, subscribed and hit the bell. Thanks!

Super glad you made a video about this. I’ve been toying with trying a blood angels army that plays a similar style. Looking forward to the coaching call so you can tell me if I’m just trying to get to cute with this list construction or if it might have some play. With a bit of refinement of course. Great video brother

Just for clarification wouldn’t you want to be 4.1inches away not 3.1? The enemy can consolidate 3in so they can still be within engagement range to tag you in close combat again? Is that correct?

Such good advice. Played against a world eaters guy and he conceded turn 2 after I wiped his 2 bezerker squads and half his eightbound which were still stuck in their deployment zone turn 2 after getting screened super hard by flayed ones. If you can screen effectively enough world eaters basically stand no chance and you feel kinda bad for stomping them so hard lol.

Awesome video. Question however: wouldn’t you need to be 4.1” behind your screen? Assuming the opponent gets his full 3” he can still end up within 1” of you and be in engagement range 🤔 or do I have it wrong?

What if they move and camp objectives and wait for you to react…?

Yeah when I said I was excited about you making World Eaters videos this is not at all what I meant. Was really looking forward to you teaching people how to play well with them. Total bummer man. 😂

Overall, good accurate stuff, but its important to remember than Angron has fly on top of that insane movement and can move over enemy models straight into the back line. The WE player should be setting up to do that T2 if their opponent deploys well like this. Also that he gets beneficial measuring to go over terrain to reposition (albeit at the cost of his total distance)
I definitely wouldnt consider the scenerio an auto win if the WE is aware of how strong Fly is on such a high movement model.

Not sure what the counter attach is with guard when we don’t really have a melee unit that can counter charge and do any damage

Watching this as a World Eaters player to work out the counter to the counter for my faction 👹

13:50 3, 1" between screen and value units is insufficient to prevent Pile-In/Consolidate shenanigans, because the rules state that you only need to end the Pile -In/Consolidate closer to the closest enemy model and within enganement range to be able to Pile In/Consolidate (Base-to-Base is only required if possible to do so). That means you'll need more than 4" distance between screen and value unit so that even after the 3" Pile-In/Consolidate they'll be outside of engagement range and thus unable to Pile-In/Consolidate.

great stuff, love that this is army agnostic advice

as a WE player is nice to see the possible countermeasures to my army, but I am missing a point here, why should I charge your screens with anything bigger than 10 jakhals or 5 berzerkers (the 2nd one is already overkill against 10 gretchin or 4 sisters, probably) and prepare the board for turn 2-3-4?

might be custodes-induced ptsd but I'd probably charge trajann's unit with something strong enough to force him pop his fight first ability and then stage a 2nd charge and try my luck with the moe on full zerkers hoping in an overwhelming number of devastating wounds, but I'd probably just ignore that brick and focus on primary/secondary while taking down the other units

This was very helpful as a new player. WE are very intimidating to play against. The problem as necrons is my army is very slow so blocking them is tricky.

The orks matchup is tricky and whoever goes second has the advantage. Also a good WE player against a melee matchup will look at their opponents deployment to determine how exposed their army is. Most likely they will play for t2 and stage in a way to have multiple charging units with the understanding they will not use advance and charge. In melee matchups the fnp and fight on death blessing does a lot of work.
