try continental knitting that’s easier and faster and imo (idk if this is universal) if you’ve learned to crochet first and then knitting then continental knitting makes it easier

As a crocheter, I’ve tried knitting multiple times in the past and could never get the hang of it until I tried continental knitting. Now a few months later I’ve made multiple sweaters and scarves and it’s so fun!

For a beginner knitter, you have excellent tension. I crocheted first and started knitting about 3 years ago. But my tension wasn’t that good as a beginner. ❤ good job!

Tension is difficult to get the hang of in knitting, just as crochet, although you shouldn’t have too much problem with that as you use similar techniques to keep your fingers holding the yarn at the correct tension 👍🏼 also just a warning knitting takes a LOT longer than crochet as the rows are much thinner 😂

I'm so excited for you! I learned crochet first when I was 13 and learned to knit in 2023 when I turned 34. Knitting feels more relaxing for some reason and I feel less tension on my wrist but it is definitely harder in my opinion. You will nail it! 💕

Omg!! I also wanted to start knitting this year. It hasn't been easy. However, it'd be amazing if you made knitting tutorials. For some reason, they are less common than crochet tutorials, so it'd be amazing to see what you come up with in knitting 🤍

My grandma taught me to knit when I was about 6 years old, but I didn't take it seriously until adulthood. I love it more than crochet, to me crochet is a bit faster and I can find more cute patterns but knitting is more enjoyable and the result is better.
I can recommend good knitting channels for beginners, Sheep and stitch and
Uroki vyazaniya. There are many more, but these are very easy to follow for absolute beginners, especially the s&s.

i started off learning knitting first and i thought it was easier than learning crocheting lol i don’t hold the needles or yarn exactly how videos show i just hold it the way it feels comfortable and i swear thats why i knit easier and faster

I recommend starting with continental knitting because I started the slow way ( don't know what it's called😅)and it took me ages and then I found continental knitting and it was really hard to transition into this method. So I really REALLY recommend continental first. It may be harder that the other way but it does get easier I promise ❤❤❤ happy knitting ❤❤❤
