The funeral for Britain's Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II

Prince Philip, the late husband of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, will be laid to rest in an intimate service attended by 30 people including members of the royal family.

Philip, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, died at the age of 99 on April 9 in Windsor Castle. He was the nation's longest-serving consort -- the name used to describe the spouse of a reigning monarch -- and had been married to the Queen for 73 years.

His death has left a "huge void" in the "stoic" Queen's life, her son, Prince Andrew has said.

Imagine the feeling of losing someone youve been with for over 70 years. Even a glimpse of that thought is absolutely scary

broke my heart to see the Queen sitting there all alone. She was married to him for 73 years and they had dated for 7 years prior to their marriage, so they were together for 80+ years. Such sadness. Rest In Eternal Peace, Prince Philip. My deepest condolences to the Queen and her family....from the U.S.A..

The music sung was by a quartet of singers (4) and I have to say they were amazing. Their music shone out and I have no doubt her majesty was able to to step back and be introspective. Thank you to those four voices, you were amazing

David Muir’s coverage of Prince Phillip’s funeral was extraordinary...ABC hit this one out of the park. God save the Queen! This American loves and honors the Royal Family.

I must give credit to ABC News, who provided a far better coverage than any other US network, who constantly had anchors who would not stop speaking throughout the procession and service. From England, may I say well done ABC News. Very dignified presentation.

ABC, David and Deborah did a great job on covering the funeral with low tones and long stretches of silence. Thank you!

Nice coverage. The commentators talked softly and not constantly so we could hear what was going on during this solemn event.

That has to be the saddest and most beautiful performance of God Save the Queen I've ever heard.

Thank you for posting this. I never had and still don't have a UK television licence so couldn't watch it live. A cinema fortunately live broadcasted Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral yesterday.
