Video has been up for quite a while (though still useful), but I figured I'd give you my 2 cents on that scaling issue. All I can think of is a workaround where you add a rotate 90 degrees before the scale and then rotate back after. Adds 2 more steps that should be unnecessary, but probably something you wouldn't even notice when it's run. Anyway, thanks for the vid. It was definitely helpful.

Thank you for this! My goal is to clean up the file names of my images but I have 10's of 1000's of them. In most cases I have folders within folders (like most of us do). I would like to be able to run the task on a main folder and have it fix ALL of the files within that folder and its subfolders. I can't find a way to make this work. It would save me an enormous amount of time if I could batch process the 'parent' folder rather then having to sift through all of the sub folders. Any suggestions? Also, I followed the video but cannot get the task to appear with a right-click. No services appear.

I tried to create a quick action where if you select a file in the finder you can create a folder with the same name and put that file into it. I spent an hour on it but couldn't figure it out. Should the be an easy quick action to create?

Just getting started on Automator.. Like your Create Automator Workflow on Mac. Trying to create a right click option in Safari to "Export As PDF file". Any suggestions?

If you want to change the width AND height you use "crop" but keep in mind it doesnt work if you are using images that are different sizes/ratios, that is why scale is better. You can always scale images first and then crop them as well.

Nice reminder, I'd forgot about services, Automator is awesome! As for your height challenge, obviously if you have another app like photoshop, you could automate it to fix the height issue but that is an additional cost.
