Synopsis: Peer-pressured by his two best friends to prove they’re more important than a girl, Conrad Stevens (Tye Sheridan, Ready Player One) pulls an innocent prank that has a disastrous impact on the family life of his girlfriend, Grace Turner (Kaitlyn Dever, Detroit). Racked with guilt, Conrad tries to make up for his mistake by doing everything he can for Grace-except tell the truth. What began as innocent summer love suddenly transforms into something more real than either could have expected.

Tye Sheridan is one of the best actors of his generation! His acting was superb in Joe, Mud, The Forger, Ready Player One and X-men! I am very happy he’s getting a lot of projects! Tye Sheridan and Logan Lerman are both underrated actors of Hollywood!

I really enjoyed this movie. I hate how people automatically shrug off or think less of movies that are primarily supposed to be more for teen audiences. I really love coming of age movies because we all have things from that time we were naive about and wish we could undo. Some things more than others. But I enjoyed this and the acting was great.

Outstanding performances by the young talented lead actors ( Tye Sheridan and Kaitlyn Dever). They portrayed their roles with so much emotional depth and rendered awesome display of conflicted emotions ( like hate, anger vs love, passionate desire vs guilt and shame). They have acted very well beyond their years. My guess is that Tye and Kaitlyn were both 16 y/o when the movie was filmed Someday they will win the Oscars for lead actor and lead actress respectively. They had such undeniable chemistry that would even convince viewers they are actually very much in love ( lovers) in real life. I do hope there will be a sequel or part 2 and that the story will focus on teaching the audiences on forgiveness, healing and redemption ( from brokenness, lost love, broken relationships and friendships). The ending is sad but Its still a work of art. Superb acting by the supporting casts as well. It's one of very few teenage love movies where it vividly depicted pure, innocent and true love ( passionately falling in love for the first time ) and having experienced first "times" like first time making love without being under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

here’s a summary of the the movie:
conrad had two best friends, timmy and hunter. conrad also meets that girl grace and they start hanging out all the time. on the 4th, grace and her family went to a firework show, but her older brother stayed home. conrad and his friends were going around pranking houses and decided to do grace’s house too. but grace’s older brother caught them and tried chasing after them in his car. he ended up hitting a deer and dying that night. conrad soon after that stopped being friends with hunter and timmy because he realized they were douche bags when they didn’t didn’t do anything the night he died but conrad wanted to. he was with grace 24/7 but at the end of the movie, he decided to tell her it was his fault her brother died and she flipped out and they never spoke again. the end
