Most tangs in the Zebrasoma family are referred as sail fins depending on the person or region

It is a yellow tang and that spot is not poisonous. A lot of people say that because it is hard for pet stores to get these fish since Mexico doesn't want people taking there fish. And that is why fish store owners don't want to sell them and say that they are poisonous.

Foxface, rabbit fish, and a yellow tang all hanging out and schooling. That’s a good sight. My tomini and yellow tang are best buddies and are always eating and swimming together.

I had a lot purple turf type algae along with plant like green stuff that was starting to take over one of my tanks. I was advised by my lfs to buy a convict tang so i did and now a month or two later the rocks are bare! This fish is a lean, mean algae eating machine and is now costing me a fortune in dried marine algae packs but i'm not complaining!

After dealing with an aggressive Yellow Tang, I will be getting a One Spot Foxface as an algae eater. Currently in QT. Can't wait to get it in.

I have an odd question... I have lots of hair algae growing in my freshwater planted tank, I sometimes pick them up with and feed it to my foxface (Only fish in my marine that eats it)
can it be toxic or harmful ??
