Ever since its announcement in 1967, the 1176 has lent its character and punch to some of the greatest recordings in history — creating a solid framework for any mix, in any genre. Universal Audio released its first 1176 plug-in emulation in 2001 and inspired a decade of analog emulation software. Today, we've circled back to the 1176, and modeled its entire electronic path from stem to stern. The resulting 1176 Classic Limiter Plug-In Collection provides unrivaled emulations of three distinct 1176 units.

Andrew Scheps is one of the coolest, most humble people I've ever met in this industry. The guy is not only skilled but he's a likeable guy. Something pretty rare in the music world. Most of them are stuck up and self absorbed. Nice to have real people around.

I got a question! Will the UAD2 work with logic 64-bit?

Do these require Apollo to use these or will they work with a 003 or HDX card?  I cannot find any definitive answer to this question on UA's website.  Anyone who has these plugins, could you please answer if you know?  I heard these are just great sounding emulations, but I'm not buying an Apollo to use them.  LOL
