I think the reason it cuts the ballistic gelatin so well is because the porrous metal has such good non stick properties, ballistic gelatin normally creates tons of friction when cutting it normally which makes it really hard to cut

And it ACTUALLY WORKS as a flaming sword with the fire/heat actually playing a major role in its cutting power

A flaming spear would be so cool, not only is it safer (since you have a lot of space to keep your hands from burning) you also have a lot more flames to play with if you had a spear.

A sword that possibly cauterizes as it cuts, amazing. You could possibly turn the gas tank into a sort of back pack too, making it more easily portable.

Historical fencing guy here. I'm really glad that you took the time to make the balance of the sword right, which is something that most people tend to undermine a lot, and end up doing swords that feel too heavy. The balance of the sword needs to feel close to the hand in order to be quick and agile (as all swords must be, regardless of their size).

Also, that sword is LIT 🔥⚔ The handle, the blade, and the FLAMES. Everything is a work of art.
