700hp Raptor R VS 702hp Ram TRX | Ultimate Comparison

Which super truck is the best on the market? The 700hp Raptor R or The 702hp Ram TRX? In todays video we do a comparison between the two, looks, interior, motor, performance etc.

The 2023 Raptor R weighs 6000lbs vs the 6500lbs for the 2023 RAM TRX. This gives the Raptor the power to weight ratio, but does that mean it's a faster truck? We find out in a head to head drag race.

I've been a Ford guy all my life (found your channel looking a Fusions), so I'm biased towards the Raptor, but I think you can't really go wrong with either one, just preference at this point.

2023 trx has a lot of interior updates including the fully digital odometer / cluster and new trim package.

Brake boosting apparently hinders the Raptors launch. I've heard 4A and slamming the gas gives you better times or something like that. Also, I've heard it's best to launch the TRX in sport mode over Baja on the street.

I currently have a Gen 2 Raptor and I fell in love with the TRX when it first came out. Ford should have really done a supercharged V8 on the Gen 3 from the beginning. Really like the TRX screen but overall would take time Raptor R in a heartbeat. Thanks for the comparison.

I love the trx as I bought one after trading in my f150. But I do wish they had a 2wd only option instead of auto 4wd. You can buy a tazer and plug it in and sort of force the truck into 2wd which is cool but still sucks you have to buy the plug in to do it. At the end of it all, just awesome we live in a day where we have modern muscle car/truck era.

When you start the Raptor, the exhaust defaults in quiet or regular mode. You have to manually put the exhaust into Baja mode every time you start the truck. Very few people know this when comparing sound.

I would really like to see you two swap trucks and race them again. Just to see if there is a difference. With the Raptor weighing less, but having larger tires than the TRX, it does appear the Raptor is a bit quicker. I would just love to see the drivers swap trucks. So do ANOTHER video.

Not sure if it would have really made a difference, but since Brian isn't used to the TRX or raptor I think you guys should have did all the same tests again but swap trucks. I think it would be a little more fair in my opinion since you are more used to them. Not to mention since the TRX isn't his maybe he wasn't giving it his all in fear of damaging something. I don't know, just my 2 cents. Both seem like great trucks that I'd never be able to afford xD

I figured you had the raptor in 4 high to help wheel spin launch, on those rolling starts try the raptor in 2 high instead. You say on the torque steer when launching, make some runs in 2 high & see if it's a difference.

Cosmetically the exterior of the TRX I prefer the more aggressive look, Performance wise I like the Raptor R. The During the pulls the TRX wins the exhaust sound but the Raptor R cold start is deeper and I like deeper exhaust sound. I like that you can't hear the exhaust too much in the Raptor R which means Ford did a Great job with the sound deadening for the cab. I've heard lots of electrical problems with Ram trucks. So I would pick the Raptor R over the TRX but if I had the $ I'd buy both.

I love the way a Dodge TRX street stance is so mean looking but I am a Ford Raptor fan through and through. My 2011 Raptor has a mean street stance with 6" lift and 37" and wider tires. I can't wait to get my new Raptor R and feel the power. Love the comparison of the two.

Trx is definitely my favorite, sound, powertrain, looks and interior. And it's not a ford I've had bad luck with fords.

I own a 2022 TRX and absolutely Love it but if I was in the market I would definitely consider the RaptoR... The upgrades are Sweet and I'm glad Ford didn't alter the body style.... Great looking truck!

TRX looks, sound, suspension, but RaptoR's weight! You could see on the last run that R is bit faster, most likely because of 500lb difference and/or 10speed.
