White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took questions Tuesday, a day after President Biden announced his plan to bring reforms, including term limits, to the Supreme Court. Biden said the "extreme opinions" issued by the Supreme Court in recent years have undermined important protections when it comes to voting access, abortion access and affirmative action in higher education.

This may have been one of the most delicately skilled phrasing of "I have no idea WTH he was talking about" that I have ever heard from any press secretary in the last decade. I so hope Ms. Jean-Pierre stays on in hopefully the Harris/? administration. I've become a frequent watcher since she started giving the pressers and would miss her!!

I don't suppose our intelligent, courageous, inspirational octogenarian President has been able to be persuaded not to take off-the-cuff questions after a certain time of night? I'm in my 50's, and anyone who loved me would tackle me to the ground before they let me chat with the press at 1 am! (Clearly I shouldn't be commenting on YT late at night either.) No tackling of course, but that moment when he pauses, turns, and opens his mouth would be long enough for his entourage to move to intercept his line of sight and start surreptitiously herding forward again. I realize it's hard to resist that deer-in-the-headlights freeze we all experience in our horrified anticipation, but maybe a Secret Service trainee could manage to break their paralysis. 🤦‍♀️
