I've found the C system to be much easier for me. I played piano accordion for about 20 years before I started on Chromatic button accordion, wish I had started playing it sooner as it is way easier than piano accordion. The fingering is much better for someone like me with smaller hands, and the pattern doesn't change with every key that a piece is played in.👍

As a piano accordion player, and scottish bronze champion of perth 2000, i like the way you played the button box of c scale (la scala), its the same similar button box, .my uncle john played, he also played the b coupler button box, .👍

There is also the Finnish C-Griff system which is basically a B-griff layout, but mirrored. It's just like a normal C-Griff but the C starts on the third row.

Hello! Thanks for this informative video. I went to music school many years ago and I'm thinking about getting an accordion to fill my life with music again. I've been looking at the options between piano, bayan and C. They all appear to have certain strengths. From what I can tell, the bayan has very compact fingering and has a very natural angle for the right hand. I guess my only fear is how hard it might be to "visualize" the keyboard when sight-reading sheet music, if that makes sense. I can "see" a piano keyboard in my mind. I'm guessing with enough practice one can do the same with Bayan?

Thank you! Help me understand please! I play a B-type chromatic accordion, Royal Standard Romance. Is it a chromatic accordion in Europe according to the passport. Why is it called Bayan in Russia? Instrument Bayan is a fair name for Europe? Can I call it Button Accordion?

Thank you for covering this topic! Does the piano accordion have any advantages over the chromatic buttion accordion?

Accordion Teacher It has the same Reeds & Jupiter makes awesome Accordions that have a Free Bass mode. What they do rather cleverly w/ Chromatic Button Accordions is use Black & White Buttons like on a Piano so that it's easy to play.

Sir, I got this question. Is a Chromatic accordion the same as a piano accordion that when you play in and out the key it does the same sound because I want to learn how to play a B Chromatic accordion So it would do the same when you press a key in and out.

Professor, I have a question.

Is the B system less demanding on your thumb than the C one?

I saw some people saying that the old style of playing B system only requires you to use three fingers and not your thumb at all.

I'm asking because it seems that playing on a B system will give my thumb a well deserved rest from playing piano accordion.

Should I have started with this type instead of the keyboard accordion? This seems like it's so much easier once you learn the pattern. Or is it 6 of one half dozen of the other?

hello, I also have a question, if I were to buy an accordion with keys, could I make it an accordion with bayan chromatic buttons

Hello, I think B system is better for when you jump to the next row inward the intervals between the notes are more. Sometimes I feel like on C system I am jumoing rows all the time. With B system it feels more like I am playing a diatonic instrument some time. I play piano accordion and I still feel like B system is more intuitive. However I wish there was more Janko accordions out there I wonder how that system works.

Just great! Anyway, I'm still a little bit confused about suitable griff for my hand... I've heard that B is much more better when someone would like to play Eastern (Russian) music - can you claim this? ;)

is the chromatic accordion with buttons heavier than the one with piano keys?

I read that the B-system is more appropriate for russian music, which is what i wan't to play. However, today i found a cheap C-system accordion. Will it hinder me significantly in learning how to play the russian music, if i have a C-system instead of a B-system? Note: I never played an accordion before, so i am completely new regardless of the system.
