The xxl trap can get DDT's its just that it needs a new trap to "detect camo" with the village

When I look at the XXXL bloon trap all I see is vector from Despicable Me

If it was somewhere else it would've lasted until wave 80 and if escaped it would be enough time for the engy to spawn in another trap.

The guns may not be able to damage the ceramics very much, but they are pretty nice against other types of bloons. Also, I may be wrong but I believe that you didn't place him in his best place since the nails he shots are a lot better when he is in direct line with the bloons vs when it's shooting at an angle.
