I love these talks. Quite glad that you upload these to youtube, as I'm too poor (or too far away) to attend many of the events you do.

Another selling point for tightening up door fit: reduces heating and cooling wasted energy. Can be sold/marketed as "going green" or reducing heating & cooling costs depending on the client. Particularly true for doors that open to the outside, like double doors with crash bars. Also a good sell for server rooms that are temperature and humidity controlled. You can reduce load on the server room HVAC system and make the climate control system last longer by getting doors that shut properly and tightly.

Love the talks, man. Hope to see you continuing to post them on Youtube as time goes on!

I absolutely love your videos. I've shown some to members of my company, and recommend changes. We do a lot of security, and my higher ups minds have been blown at how simplistic the attack vector can be. Thanks and keep providing the information!

once you start watching his talks you walk around thinking "I could totally break into there they made a minor mistake that would let me in"

Already watched it a couple of times, still love it. This is a great trailer to show someone, though!👍

Most of his door breaching methods wouldn’t work with European doors. American locks and doors seem prehistoric for some reason - perhaps due to fire codes. My front door is cheap but it has 6 point locking around the frame. On the inside the door can only be opened by a key (no knob to turn). The hinges are on the inside. The door is made of uPVC so a battering ram just bounces off it

I wonder why american doors are designed so poorly. Quite a few of the attacks mentioned in the video won't work on cheap European doors. Basically all doors in Europe (even cheap doors used in the building) have double rebates (one on the door, one on the frame) which basically stop all attacks that require you to push anything through the gap between the door and the frame. Doors generally open to the inside of rooms (especially everything that needs to be locked), so there are no exposed hinges to hack. And that's not only security doors but even the toilet doors.

And the rebates also reduce light and heat leakage by a lot.
