Eaton's electronic circuit breakers display trip codes through a red LED on the face of the breaker. When the breaker trips, the LED will display a blink pattern to help the user identify the cause.

I had 3 of these die in a new construction home with 6 blinks for self test fail within 3 years. These breakers seem to go faulty pretty fast.

There is a huge problem with these breakers and nuisance tripping. Homeowners don’t need to be resetting breakers 3 or 4 times a day. I have removed afci breakers and put in regular breakers in there place. I understand why NEC has put this in place but it has proved to be impractical. Sometimes people need to take control of any given situation. These breakers are a bad design. Need to be re-engineering in my opinion.

My breaker didn’t trip, but I want to test it because my airconditioner is not turning on and I’m trying to find the problem

How do you just test the safety trip breaker

These breakers suck. Brand new home and already have to replace one of them. I'm all about safety but when you have to open a breaker panel to replace faulty breakers that die prematurely, that is anything but safe.

Really hate that model. 6 blink code is a nightmare.

And what if no lights blink after turning off, holding the button while I turn it back on and them releasing the button no lights blink - I have the breaker for maybe 1 year and paid almost $100 for it!

What does a continuous solid red light mean but the breaker hasn’t tripped?

I’m having problems as well. I’m getting code 6, which is test failure. This is a brand new Ryan homes construction from 2020. This should not be happening.

I have one that will trip every couple of days. Nothing on that circuit. No trip codes. Big problem with nuisance tripping all the time for apparent reason. All my circuits have these type CH Dual Purpose AFGF breakers. Don’t like them.

We purchase the worlds cheapest insulation….. we hire the cheapest workers and then they install the cable by hitting metal staples with a hammer… of course it’s the breakers fault

I looked all over and this is the only place that documents the trip codes. WTF?!? If it's on their website, it's not easy to find. Stupid!

These breakers are garbage! Brand new build had to replace 3 breakers in first six months now other breakers are going out in the house. Poor design wish these had some type of warranty.
