PURE THRILLS: The most spectacular roller coaster in Europe is being built

One of the most modern and extreme rollercoaster in the world is being built in Waldkirch in the Black Forest for the Belgian amusement park Plopsaland De Panne. Here, the cars rotate horizontally on a vertical axis. The complex ride requires 723 tons of material to be welded, transported and finally assembled on site - a logistical tour de force. For this, 98 track sections are created in a so-called truss structure, some of which are manufactured by hand.

We traveled all the way from Arkansas in the USA. And I will say, out of 310 different roller coasters… this is legit the best in the world I’ve ever been on.

I’ve waited 25 years for a Coaster documentary like this. Amazing work! Would have been really cool to see the very first pull-through test of the train once it was placed on the track though.

Excellent work!

SO SO SO interesting!! I rode Time Traveler (Silver Dollar City) 5 times in a row and the whole dang time all I could think about (as I do on all roller coasters) was, "WOW! Someone DESIGNED AND BUILT this engineering marvel to run safely, smoothly and carry THOUSANDS of passengers daily! I feel a small tinge of guilt as I am thoroughly enjoying the fruits of their labor and don't want to take it for granted." Thank you, to the men and women who work so hard just so the rest of us can enjoy a 90 second ride! You are so talented and I can tell you are proud of your craft - as you should be. ❤
I think I can speak on behalf of all coaster enthusiasts that we truly, truly appreciate your hours and hours of hard work and thank God for you!

It must be an indescribable feeling to ride on something with the full knowledge that YOU were the one responsible for its conception. Everything about this ride is so well designed. I hope we might get something like this sometime soon in the United States. Kudos to you, Welt, for such an exceptional product!

Fantastic documentary for coaster enthusiasts and engineers alike! The precision in coaster design and construction has always blown my mind and I can’t believe I’m only just finding out that adjustments are made by jacking up the supports!! 🤯

I'm surprised they don't have a safety tether on the impact wrench.

The most spectacular was already built 28 years ago by John Wardley. See you soon Nemesis.

Amazing ride, so far I've ridden it 39 times (once 10 rides back-to-back). It's an amazing ride, but it can be very intensive or just boring, depending on the ride.
It is however an amazing ride, but I'm still not sure if it was the right choice for Plopsaland (seeing that it is mostly a children-oriented park, the only other real coasters of note are Heidi the Ride and Anubis the Ride).
