Best Places to Visit in Miri, Sarawak in 2022

I spent the day in Miri, in Northern Sarawak. I visited the most iconic places in the city, including Canada Hill and Coco Cabana at the Miri Marina. I spotted Hornbills at Piasau Nature Reserve, had the most delicious food at the Summit Café. I ended the day with some local food at one of the smokehouses, or Rumah Asap.

Miri is the second largest city in Sarawak, Malaysia. It is home to people from many different ethnicities, with many restaurants and bars throughout the city. The city is located on the South China Sea, with long coast lines and beautiful nature within city limits.

Wow! Ilove the food at "the summit", simply unique and one of it kind, only found in Miri. The rice wrap in the leaf is a must to be eaten with the cooked meat & vegetables.

Oh wow, i find it rather sad the bungalows were demolished. I grew up in Miri and i remembered those houses being very nice almost colonial style with the elegant street lights. The whole area was quiet away from busy town, Ive been into 1 or 2 of those back then. I feel its good idea to turn the area to nature reserved but should also maintaining the houses as part of the identity of the area.
Here in Singapore, govt take very good care of those old houses as part of the history.. What a shame and thank you for the update Nick. Great vids as always!!
