I think if you have the choice between killing a non-sick soul-scar mage and a swiftspear, the answer is absolutely always the mage. After the haste turn, soul scar is basically just a straight upgrade of swiftspear.

At 1:35:14...why not play the astrolabe off of watery grave then play breeding pool tapped? You weren't using the mana anyways..so why not get the pool in tapped save 2 damage then next turn have the island come in? I'm just curious if I'm over thinking it.

obv in hindsight this play looks strong but maybe at 30:20 maybe just dead of winter + coatl? better mana usage then holding cryptic or coatl.
