Join Simon Barrett for an exclusive interview with Trevor Asserson the author of a damning new report that exposes the true extent of the BBC bias against Israel in its news coverage of the war in Gaza.

The Asserson Report – The Israel war and the BBC: is a two hundred page report on the BBC’s news coverage that includes TV News, Radio, Social media and BBC Arabic from October 7th 2023 to the 7th February 2024. The findings in this report are shocking as it reveals how our national broadcaster breached its own editorial guidelines over 1,553 times over its coverage of Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza.

What was most disturbing about the report is how BBC Arabic employed members of Hama. According to the Asserson Report they identified 68 individuals who were either members of Hamas or had posted on Social Media in support of the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th.

Never a great viewer of TV, and not having watched British main stream media newscasts in years, I have occasionally thought of not renewing my TV licence as I have also not watched any other live TV for more than 3yrs, finding Prime, Youtube, etc, more than sufficient for my needs. Until now, l have never got around to doing so but, having seen this youtube interview with Trevor Asserson, I am now going to arrange to cancel my current licence without delay and claim a refund of my unused portion. Thank you to this interview for finally galvanising me into action.

The question is, in this era of plurality of opinions and in depth programmes in the social media against a vastly marginalised BBC as a news, education and entertainment outlet, is there really a case for it to be funded by the taxpayer.
