Fantastic! This is a very good way to teach (Jeffrey Way-ish). Where the teacher makes very little assumptions about what the learner may or may not already know. The result is that core concepts are very firmly cemented, even for someone who already uses the tool.
Generally, In my opinion, several documentations are written in a language and manner that makes too many assumptions leaving the first time learner with no choice than to find someone on YouTube who has implemented the contents of the documentation in an actual project. And this is why educators like you are crucially needed. Thank you for the work you do.
