Based on the acclaimed novel by Nick Hornby, A LONG WAY DOWN stars Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots as four strangers who happen to meet on the roof of a London building on New Year's Eve, each with the intent of committing suicide. Their plans for death in solitude are ruined, so they mutually agree to call off their plans for six weeks, forming an unconventional, dysfunctional family and searching together for the reasons to keep on living.

When he said, "I have brain cancer, CCR, " I said, out loud, "You have Creedence Clearwater Revival?" and laughed. Turns out, it's really what he was saying! I loved that band as a kid.
I was on a trip with several classmates from my high school in Paris. Some of us were on the Metro. A guy was playing a CCR song. I remarked to one of the guys that I love CCR. He replied, "The leader singer is my uncle." I laughed and said, "Ya, right." He asked, "What's my last name?" I thought, and I freaked out. "Fogerty!" He said he used to spend summers at John Fogerty's house in, I think he said, Oregon. Anyway, I love a good story, and I love that I have one. (At least I like it.) Even though probably nobody will ever read this.
