At 2:51, I talk about adding a preexisting dictionary and which button you should press. In newer versions of Plover, these buttons have been renamed and so it should be a little more straightforward. "Load dictionary" will add a preexisting dictionary, while "create dictionary" will add an empty dictionary.

Great video. Thanks. Its common not to have installation rights for company computers, so one couldn't install plover. Wondering if you know a workaround, e.g. to buy a keyboard with a local installation of plover on the keyboard itself?

An even more basic question: What are meanings of the different drop-downs in the machine area? I have the splitography and so far have only just installed Plover and am not sure which dropdown to use to start learning steno. So far I understand that "keyboard' just makes it act like a normal QWERTY.
