It's frustrating that one of the main focuses this video promotes about saving the world is that we should "consume less because when we do that, we will have enough resources for everyone." Yes, there is a problem with how much we consume, particularly in the Global North and the United States. But, there is credible evidence that we already produce enough food to feed the world.

When this is the case for our world situation, it is misleading to the public when you say that the problem is that we consume too much and if only we consumed less, then we could feed everyone. Yet, under our current system, that is a false reality. That current system is capitalism. In order for everyone's needs to be accounted for, not only the rich, there is a need for radical systemic change, and the introduction of socialism as a global presence. The means of production must be shifted from those of the capitalists to the hands of the workers, the proletariat.

The fearmongering that Western Imperialism uses to portray socialism as this great evil is simply not true. In order for the people to actually have a democratic voice in all facets of their lives, including the workplace, the environment, healthcare, etc., it is a necessity that socialism prevails.
