The color of the yolk though... I used to get eggs from a coworker that had a small farm. The yolks were orange and huge and absolutely amazing

This is just my opinion here: I think what is most important than the color of an egg it’s in fact the living quality of the chickens (as you already mentioned!!) I really hope that industries focused more on fixing the living quality of the animals than focusing on marketing the product. I think that will be a better win for the consumers and most importantly the animals who produce such wonderful products we all consume!

In my city, the brown ones are the only you can find, so I used to see the white eggs on television and think they were so fancy hahaha

The quality of an egg is inside.
Chickens that free range, are fed a proper diet and get regular veterinary care are the ones that produce the healthier eggs

I have relatives in northern Minnesota, and their chickens lay eggs in so many colors. I love the pink eggs. 🥚🥚🥚

Living in Germany and never heard about this. In our basic egg-six-packs they are always completely mixed. However around Easter I prefer white eggs because they are easier to stain and to paint upon

Brown eggs are the standard here in Wales and the rest of Britain. I used to watch US shows and think white eggs were exotic 😂

I have 4 chickens and they all lay slightly different eggs despite having the exact same conditions. One lays massive brown ones, another lays small porcelain ones, and the other two lay medium speckled ones. They're all delicious

😅 as kids mum used to always buy white shell eggs. She convinced us somehow as kids, that the brown shell eggs meant that those hens didn't wipe their bottoms clean 😳

We only have brown shell eggs now. As an adult I quietly think about the hygiene standards of hens having dropped nowadays 🤣

IDK, having grandparents who had a farm with MANY types of chickens. Over the years, I have eaten white, green, brown, blue and speckled eggs and have always craved brown eggs from time to time, because I love to eat them over easy (or as we used to call them, "dippy eggs" because we loved dunking toast into them. The yolks of brown eggs, IMHO, are much richer in flavor. Yum!

Where I am from they sell the brown and white eggs all in one container. I have never heard that brown are supposed to be better.

We used to get eggs from a friend whom had chickens. Some were brown, some were beige and some were white. All were fresh and tasted delicious.

I noticed here in the netherlands, you always find blood spots and impurities (which I hate) inside brown eggs but white aggs don't have those.

Yes! I used to have a breed of hen called an olive egger. She laid beautiful olive green eggs.

I grew up eating blue and green eggs (I'm Chilean, where the araucana chicken is from) and I used to think that white eggs were just a U.S American thing because I always saw them on TV lol

where I'm from it's the opposite, brown eggs is more common and cheaper than white eggs, the white is said to be healthier because it's from local free range chickens, but it turns out, they're about the same nutrition-wise
