Fixing cropped out Simpsons gags (4:3 to 16:9 crop)

Fixing jokes that were lost to cropping when the episodes were converted to widescreen for FXX and Disney+.

Thank you for making this. I so agree with you. On Disney + I set the aspect ratio to 4:3 because I'd rather watch it with black bars and see everything that is supposed to be seen.

Disney missed the opportunity to use pan-and-scan in these widescreen crops.

Or just don't crop it at all, even if you aren't ruining jokes! I thought we were over this when DVD took Laserdisc's lead and respected what the filmmakers wanted, but we''re going back to it on streaming services.

since the fxx version does stretch shots where a crop wouldn't work i feel like the last one could have just been stretched instead so nobody gets obscured

Fox/Disney should've left these episodes to continue being broadcast in the 4:3 ratio. Shows and episodes that were originally broadcasted in the full screen standard definition ratio should remain broadcasting in that same ratio.

In my opinion, disney Plus should have just recropped these scenes rather than giving a 4:3 option.

Why doesn't Disney+ just stick to the original 4:3 format? Especially as they show a lot of Disney classics in 4:3 anyway. Plus I'm used to seeing side black bars in 4:3 format.

I wonder if AI could expand native frames borders, generating new content essentially so you get a natural 16:9 without the need to zoom. AI is doing some amazing things now with image generation, I don't think its out of the question that it could become a thing soon.
