Has Dr. Pandor forgotten that while the Russians publically supported the ANC (for political agenda purposes) including selling arms to both side, they also engaged in trade with South Africa during the apartheid era, mostly involving selling arms to BOTH sides and buying mineral resources mined by her country persons who are also dying from Russia weapons. That is the kind of people Dr. Pandor is shaking hands with.

While some countries and organizations, like the Swiss-South African Association, supported the Apartheid government, most of the international community isolated South Africa. One of the primary means for the international community to show its aversion to apartheid was to boycott South Africa in a variety of spheres of multinational life.

The same is happening to Russia's war on Ukraine. But where is South Africa? Shaking hands with a regime that is more evil and dangerous than any pure white South Africa government was. What will it be next? Will Dr. Pandor send young South Africa men to fight in Russia to help her friend Putin, in return for goods? Maybe Dr. Pandor can clear out SA's overcrowded prisions and send all the criminals to use as more cannon fodder.

Sad to remember how South Africa struggled to be free all those years ago and yet now shakes hands with one of the world's worse oppressive governments, all for greed.

Minister Pandor is sounding like a broken record on this matter, South Africa has no way of influencing Russia's stance on the invasion of Ukraine. There is not even a trade benefit, SA's biggest trading partner is not Russia

We need to know about trade deals between the two countries. We need an urgent reduction in fuel prices. . . That is what we should be worried about. The little issue of drills, it's not the first time these drill took place in SA.

Lavrov speaks of negotiation. How can an invaded sovereign nation negotiate with an invader? How would you see if your country is invaded? I am not certain why SA lost prospective on moral integrity and the implication of military joint practice with the country that shells sovereign nation burning women and children to quitch its greedy trust for power and expansions through lawless invasion. SA's Economic and development ties with Russia is one thing, but joint military exercise simply defies SA's trumpet on neutrality and leeway to invite Western and Russia stain into Africa continent.

Would south africa give the Ukrainian foreign minister the same red carpet treatment should he visit South Africa ? That would test our so called neutrality in the war I doubt it
