Thanks for taking the time and effort to share an excellent video - and for walking us through via the software - helpful for those of us using MKII. I'm an Ableton Push user that recently picked up Maschine. The joy for me is the learning process. The trouble-shooting and figuring things out for myself is empowering - its how 'happy accidents' have occurred for me and I believe that the learning process with all its excitement as well as frustrations with so called 'limitations' of software is how we develop our own unique style. Its amazing how many of the innovative and interesting albums were a result of artists winging it on the fly and figuring it out as they went along - often with limitations and a tight budget. It's like it forces us to push through a barrier.

can you use the ghost note feature with midi only instead of audio? Basically seeing midi on 1 in the background but writing and recording on 2 using midi. Think of it like 9:14 but midi only...

I'm having problems building different patterns loops from other patterns are playing when I don't want them to. Do you have to Gaye everything to make different combinations and patterns?

Hello. Thank yu for the info. I have a question. Maschine standalone software updated to me to 2.7.1 but maschine vst plugin didn´t. In Ableton Live I see the Maschine plugin is version 2.6.2 You know it is like this for everyody?

This is a good video eventhough the function is self explanatory for experience producers and beat makers. I understand there's a lot of young people who have maschine and other DAWs and programs and view them as the magic trumpet or flute which why they end up in a ball of confusion. I'm glad your out here explaining the procedure in a simple and basic form. Good job Man.

I don't get it. How you trigger it to play? Just using mute/solo button? OR hitting pads? I really don't understand why NI make it SO difficult — why can't just hit the pad to ENABLE loop and hit it again to DISABLE? Imagine you accidently hit play and all loops in ENTIRE project starts playing. So what's the point of LOOP mode? It's absolutely useless.
